Independent literary presses like Marsh Hawk Press are mission-driven not market-driven. The motive to publish is to enrich the literary culture by bringing works by important and often neglected writers to the widest possible audience. Manuscripts are selected and books are published as part of our press's fulfillment of its mission.

Marsh Hawk Press is a registered not-for-profit press. We exist through the dedication of our writers, as well as the generosity of our public, private and corporate friends. All donations to the press are tax deductible.

By subscribing to a standing order account with Marsh Hawk Press, you'll receive every title we publish at a 40% discount mailed to you as soon as it is available. From the yearly subscription fee of $100, you'll receive a year's worth of newly published titles. Since the discounted cost of each year's books will usually be less than the subscription fee, you may claim the balance as a charitable tax deduction.
